Doch das milde Klima und die klare Meeresluft machen Ischia zu einem Paradies f\u00fcr anspruchsvolle NATURLIEBHABER. Ein Paradies f\u00fcr Wanderer. Ischia wird mit recht die \u201eGR\u00dcNE INSEL\u201c genannt. \u00dcberall leuchtet \u00fcppiges Gr\u00fcn und Bunt. Immergr\u00fcn sind Oliven, Palmen, Agaven, Zypressen, Eucalyptus und viele halbwilde und wilde B\u00fcsche und wuchernde Unkr\u00e4uter. Die j\u00e4hrliche Produktion von mehreren Millionen Liter wird nahezu ausschliesslich auf der Insel getrunken, als Getr\u00e4nk von den Eingeborenen, als Genussmittel von den Fremden. Die farbliche Erscheinung der Inselsilhouette \u00e4ndert sich st\u00e4ndig je nach Standort des Betrachters und Wetterlage. Das lebendige Gem\u00e4lde schwingt in zahllosen T\u00f6nungen von hellen trockenen Tuff, \u00fcber alle denkbaren Gr\u00fcnschattierungen hin zu gelben und braunen, kahlen Gesteinschluchten bis zum schwarz der Lavaschichten. Immer wieder gibt es faszinierende Ausblicke auf das tiefblaue Meer mit den schroff abfallenden Felsen, die die Str\u00e4nde s\u00e4umen.
